Kodak's Print and Prosper campaign is Adweek's Ad of the Day

Jennifer Cisney
Chief Blogger
By now you may have seen the Print and Prosper newspaper ads and tv commercials that Cheryl wrote about in yesterday's blog post.

Adweek was also watching because today it was chosen as Adweek's Ad of the Day. "To familiar villains like Big Oil and Big Pharma we can now, thanks to this commercial, add another: Big Ink."

Check out the rest of the story on Adweeks website.

The message is simple: STOP OVERPAYING FOR PRINTER INK!

Cheryl Pohlman
Director of Inkjet Marketing

Since our launch in the consumer inkjet business in 2007, it's been our mission to be the consumer champion and help people who want to print a lot do just that. No more frustration or guilt from hitting the print button. We want people to feel free to print whatever and whenever.

The campaign takes a bold, serious, gritty approach---getting ripped off doesn't feel good, so there's no fluff here. We wanted to be very direct and deliberate with our message that Kodak has a better way.  No one wants to feel ripped off!

The real essence of our new campaign then is to demonstrate to our target market that when they buy a Kodak printer, they can hit print without hesitation.

The call to action is to visit printandprosper.com where you can actually calculate how much you are overspending with another printer. The site has direct links to our Kodak store for purchase as well as to Laura Rowley, internationally known financial expert with Yahoo.

It's a fully integrated, global campaign with full page ads appearing this week in the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, USAToday. We debuted Sunday night during Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Celebrity Apprentice. Ads will continue with all the early morning network shows (The Early Show, Good Morning America, The Today Show), Dancing with the Stars and The Biggest Loser.  Plus more TV, print, online and social media moving forward.
